Our Impact
Leveraging Our Expertise to Reduce Long-Term Risk
Forever chemicals can build up on the body over time and scientific studies have linked exposure to some PFAS with concerning health effects in humans and animals, including altered immune and thyroid function, liver disease, kidney disease, and cancer, among other health impacts. The EPA has determined that these compounds are not safe for human health and the environment and has developed a Strategic Roadmap to address them.
PFAS require safe and sustainable management to meet emerging requirements and regulations. Laws, regulations, health advisories, and sampling methods are being published at the federal and state level. These new requirements impact drinking water, long term liability, and waste disposal.
Leveraging our environmental expertise, Arcwood partners with federal and state
regulators to safely assess and comply with the evolving regulatory requirements
surrounding PFAS management – and provide innovative solutions for our customers.
