The double challenge of bulk hazardous waste handling is secure transportation and safe, one-time-only disposal. We thrive on meeting this challenge and exceeding our customers’ every expectation along the way. Our transportation capability comes into focus when you run the numbers: 650 open-top intermodal containers; 200 hard-top 20 ft. intermodal containers; multiple intermodal flatcar configurations with a gross weight capacity up to 424,000 lbs; 200 registered truck power units and 214 of our own dedicated drivers. This combined road and rail capability gives Arcwood the capacity to tackle the toughest, high-volume waste transportation tasks, with DOT compliance assured for every yard of every journey.

Your hazardous waste’s safe and compliant journey ends at our secure disposal facility. We have approximately 14M cubic yards of permitted landfill capacity available today. We can process high volumes of material for daily disposal at our permitted RCRA landfill at Roachdale, IN. And we accept the following waste categories: Sediments from Dredging; Waste Treatment Residues; Heavy Metal Contaminated Wastes; Remediation Soils; CAMU Eligible Wastes; PCB Remediation Wastes; Demolition Debris; LDR Compliant Wastes. In addition to being geographically isolated, its design ensures a secure, fully compliant, and long-term disposal environment.
