EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio – The Relay for Life Team at Heritage Thermal Services (HTS) has raised the most money during this year’s Relay walk in Columbiana County, Ohio. Team members were presented with a certificate expressing thanks for their donation of $5,000. For the year, the team raised more than $7,800 to help fight cancer.
The Relay team at the thermal-treatment facility wasted little time in raising funds for the program’s next donation year. A week following the local Relay event, they took in $4,200 from their eighth-annual charity golf outing. Seventy-two golfers played for more $1,000 in prize money and other incentives. Since 2005, the HTS Relay Team has donated more than $84,000 to the American Cancer Society (ACS).
Relay for Life is a key source of funds for the ACS. In the event’s three-decade history, millions of Relay participants have raised more than $5 billion to help improve cancer survival, decrease cancer incidence and improve the quality of life for cancer survivors. The HTS Relay Team is proud to contribute to this cause.
